About David
My love for photography began as a school boy when my science teacher showed me a black & white print emerging in the tray, from that moment I was hooked. I went out and bought a 126 Instamatic camera and a cassette of black & white film the very next day.
Now some 50 years on I am still passionate about my photography. I enjoy photographing a wide range of photographic subjects but mostly concentrate on sport, modern architecture and portraiture.
After many years of producing both colour and black & white prints in the darkroom all my work is now produced digitally. I was President of Smethwick Photographic Society in 2007 and 2017 and invited to join the prestigious London Salon Of Photography in 2010, becoming Chairman for 2013-2015. I am an Associate of the Royal Photographic Society (ARPS), have a Distinction from the Photographic Alliance of Great Britain (DPAGB) and achieved Artist level with the Federation Internationale de I’Art Photograhique (AFIAP).
